!Hollywood Hendrix began his radio career in 1976 at the age of sixteen in the small west Tennessee town of Camden, which is less than a half-hour south of his hometown of Paris, TN. After three years of rookie training at WRJB/Super 98FM in Camden, he moved on to his first progrmming job at brand new station WMUF/Big 10 which brought him back home to Paris. After two years of morning wake up duties and progrm director chores under his belt it was time to make that jump to a larger market.
He landed at WRVR in Memphis, staying a short time before crossing the street to WMC-FM100. After a few years in the Memphis market he left for the mid-day slot at one of New England's most respected radio stations, WTIC-FM in Hartford, CT. From there, it was off to afternoon drive at WKXX (kicks 106) in Birmingham, AL. Hollywood was also a television show host for several years at a local Birmingham TV station. The show, TRAXX AND FACTS, was syndicated in many markets across the United States and abroad as well.

Hollywood's night show on Y107 still holds the modern all-time night ratings record 12+ numbers in the Nashville metro market with a thirty (30) share in 1988.
Then, in '93, it was time for a new challenge in a different format. WSIX, which took over the number one ratings slot in Nashville, hired Hollywood for the 7-12 midnight slot, which in 1995 garnered him a CMA nomination for large market personality of the year. After almost four years at the nationally acclaimed country station Hollywood decided to take his talents to the voice-over field full time launching Hollywood Hendrix Productions in the summer of 1996 which successfully continues in full operation today.
In recent years, Hollywood has returned to the airwaves of the Music City in several capacities. You can catch him doing live traffic reports at different times of the week on any one of the three major Television stations in the market. Including, WSMV Channel 4, WTVF Channel 5, and, WKRN Channel 2, both morning and afternoon drive. Also, Hollywood has returned to his Rock
